POPCORN

Wouldn’t it be nice to participate in all the Scouting activities you wanted to and if you could pay for uniforms, advancements and registration fees without any money coming out of everyone’s pockets? Imagine doing only one fundraiser each year and being able to fund your entire Ideal Year of Scouting! It’s possible. Commissions earned from the Trail’s End Popcorn Sale enable adult leaders to focus on program, not fundraising. With planning, building a budget and setting per youth sales goals, your unit will be able to substantially build up its treasury and make all the Scouting dreams come true for your Scouts. It can all happen by participating in the Greater Pittsburgh Council Trail’s End Popcorn Sale.

Your unit can earn up to 39% commission, with up to 73% of the price of all products that you sell staying in your unit and your council. How does your council use this money? The proceeds from the Trail’s End Popcorn Sale will enable the Greater Pittsburgh Council to significantly expand its outreach to economically disadvantaged children and teenagers through the implementation of additional council programs and staff services. You and your Scouts are truly performing a "good turn" by participating in this sale.

We sincerely hope you will consider the Trail’s End Popcorn Sale as your unit’s fundraiser. The Council Popcorn Committee stands ready to support you and your unit. For more information on how your unit can participate in the Greater Pittsburgh Council Trail’s End Popcorn Sale call the council service center at 412-325-7913 or download the Popcorn Unit Planning Kit.
