The College of Commissioner Science, under the direction of Bob Reese, has undergone some dramatic changes since March of ’07. The Administrative Staff has seen the need for reviewing and updating the course content, and has met that challenge with outstanding results.
Dean of Instructors, Barb Sylvester of Fort Pitt District, is currently contacting a group of leaders who will share both the basic tenants of Commissioner Science and their expertise on a wide variety of Commissioner topics.
Jan Rice of Mon Valley District will head up the PhD program once again. She and her staff have made the PhD attainable by clarifying the thesis process and offering guidance to those who wish to attain the pinnacle of the College program.
Over the years the College of Commissioner Science in Greater Pittsburgh Council has been a premier event, attracting Commissioners from the surrounding councils. The College of 2010 is prepared to live up this legacy and invites everyone with an interest in the Scouting program to join us for this weekend of learning, fun, and fellowship.
