Greater Pittsburgh Council serves Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Greene and portions of Westmoreland and Fayette counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Greater Pittsburgh Council has a membership of over 47,000 young people participating in all phases of the Scouting program: Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing. There are approximately 10,000 adult volunteer leaders serving in various capacities to assure that the youth members of the Greater Pittsburgh Council receive the highest quality program experience possible. The council provides many resources and training opportunities, including youth protection training. Please see the Training section for more information. Greater Pittsburgh Council operates five outstanding camping properties, including: Heritage Reservation, our primary summer camping facility: Camp Twin Echo, Camp Anawanna, Camp Guyasuta, and Camp Baker. The home of Greater Pittsburgh Council is Flag Plaza, the most unique Boy Scout Headquarters in the country. Flag Plaza, located at 1275 Bedford Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, includes a National Supply Division Scout Shop where members may purchase uniforms, equipment, literature and recognition items. In addition, it serves as the administrative center of the Council as well as, a facility for inspirational programs and group tours. The tour program focuses on our flag and patriotism.
