Vision

To be the best group of volunteers who help to improve the camps of the Greater Pittsburgh Council. 

 

Mission

To build and improve the council’s major properties, ensure that the next generation of Scouts has the best camp experience possible and to recognize volunteers who provide this service.

 

Goals

  • To identify and recruit quality and capable volunteers.
  • To develop and maintain a database of volunteers and their skills.
  • To complete approved projects on time and within the financial guidelines of the budget.

Participation Guidelines

  1. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America.
  2. Service Hours are redeemable for your choice of recognition items.
  3. Beaver Day, Order of the Arrow workdays and ceremonials do not count toward total hours worked.
  4. Service Hours may be accumulated at the Heritage Reservation, Camp Baker, Camp Guyasuta, Camp Twin Echo and Camp Anawanna.
  5. All redeemable Service Hours must be on projects approved by the respective camp property chief.

Tracking of Hours

Submit your hours using the form available at http://www.gpc-bsa.org/camping/engineers. Hours will be reviewed/approved quarterly and current standings will be posted on the website.

 

Recognition

Redeem your hours at Work Trek in May or at a Construction Crew event during the year.
