6th Annual Parent & Pal Trailblazer

 Friday-Saturday, May 9-10, 2008 at Heritage Reservation

The Trailblazer Adventure program is designed to teach Scouts and their parents more about the great outdoors and some of the sports associated with it. Scouts will be taught the ins and outs of firearm safety and will be given the chance to practice what they have learned on one of our ranges. Cub Scouts will shoot BB guns while Boy Scout and Venturers will shoot rifles and shotguns.

Scouts will also have the chance to take a shot at catching "Big Bubba" the largest known fish in Lake Courage.

This event is open to ALL Cub Scouts and ALL Boy Scouts as well as ALL Venturers and is to be enjoyed as a parent and son / daughter (Venturers only) event.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and events will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., lunch is included.

Friday Night Camp-out

Starting in 2008, we are offering over-night camping on the Friday night before the Trailblazer program.  This willgive you a great chance to the njoy the outdoors with your son or daughter.  The cost for the over-night camping is $30, which includees breakfast, lunch and the Trailblazer program.

No tents will be provided.  You must bring your own tent and sleeping gear.  Check in time for Friday night is 6:30-8 p.m.
