"…A Declaration of Adventure" for Camp Independence

With the inception of the new programming initiatives for Camp Independence in 2006, the reorganization of basic camp structures and administration is necessary.  As part of the new face of Camp Independence, the program areas of the past will now be "Adventure Areas."  Scouts will visit organized "Adventure Areas" based on the staffing structure and basic themes in each area.  Activities in each area will remain consistently "tiered" following the programming initiatives and safety requirements of the National BSA. 

The new Adventure Areas and their activities are as follows, as approved and adopted by the Cub Scout Camping Committee, December, 2005:
