   Unit Chaplins & Aides

Each Unit is encouraged to have an Scouter Chaplain and Scout Chaplain Aide. They are responsible:

1)   To encourage scouts in the unit to earn their Faith's Religious Emblem;

2) to arrange for and encourage attendance at Scout Sabbath/Sunday;

3) to arrange for Religious Services according to the each scout's Faith on Unit Camping weekends;

4) to be available to scouts in the unit when they may have need for religious consolation or to make proper referral for this need.

Chaplain Aide is a recognized unit office for advancement. The Chaplain does not have to be Clergy, but is a natural position for Clergy for units that are chartered by a Religious Chartered Partner. For more information on Unit Chaplains and Aides please see the B. S.A. Pamphlet on Chaplains and Chaplain Aides available at Flag Plaza from CRC.
