Program

Scouting means doing.  Everything is Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing is designed to have boys and young men and women doing things.  And so, scouting is Program.

This area of the web will give information about the latest programs that are offered through the Greater Pittsburgh Council.  Their is specific information about the council High adventure activities such as Philmont and the Jamborees.  The council Good Turn Project (Scouting for Food) pages contain the forms and information you need to get your pack, troop or crew involved.

The advancement section contain information of the Advancement opportunities available to all the Scouting programs.  IT also includes information about the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, Eagle Scholarships and special awards and recognitions available to youth and adults.

The training page is your link to the learning about the training opportunities available.  You can complete some training on-line through links on this site, including Youth Protection, Safe Swim Defense and Fast Start Training.

IF you are a unit, district or council commissioner you will find helpful information in the Commissioner pages.  This is also where you will find the information about the College of Commissioner Science.

The Venturing committee has many exciting programs and lot of great information available in the Venturing pages.  Here you will find forms and information related to operating a Venture Crew. 

The ScoutReach pages are specific to those who serve "At Risk" communities. The Whitney M. Young Service Awards Dinner and the Urban Day camp are included in this section.
